Purchase, NY– October 14, 2015 – Today marks a key milestone in the evolution of digital payments as Capital One has announced the addition of contactless mobile payment capability to its Android Capital One Wallet app. Leveraging the MasterCard Digital Enablement Service (MDES), Capital One is enabling mobile payments directly for its customers through a bank hosted experience.
Bringing this functionality to life required an extensive and integrated partnership with MasterCard and Capital One in order to to drive a new approach to device-based payments that will serve as the foundation for how MasterCard enables the next generation of payments for issuers. By further extending the scope of the MDES platform, issuers can now deliver a more holistic digital customer experience.
