Staying Ahead of the Curve
It’s been another exciting year for Mobey, with many standout moments! During our member meetings we have enjoyed profound discussions, exceptionally open and insightful presentations, and rewarding networking. The inspirational conversations in our Expert Groups have identified consumer demand for open banking services, mapped digital identity opportunities and characterized the roles banks could play in the Internet of Things revolution. Together, we have produced more content that cannot be ‘Googled’ and continue to support the creation of innovative business models for our rapidly evolving digital world.
The data challenge for banks will be one of the key focus areas for Mobey in 2020. We’ll be focusing on how banks can develop strategies to get to grips with the vast amounts of data, how to store and use it, how to unlock value that can translate into products and services, and how to innovate while complying with regulation. We will also continue exploring topics such as APIs and open banking, the opportunities for banks in digital ID, new ways of paying and other emerging topics related to the future of banking and changing business models.
As conventional banking dissipates, the exchange of experiences and learnings enabled by Mobey Forum will become increasingly important. Our shared knowledge leads to better analysis and more effective evaluation of challenges and opportunities.
We’re excited to be celebrating our 20th anniversary next year and, together with our members, laying the foundations to shape the next 20 years of digital financial services.Read Annual Report 2019
