MOBEY’S WORKGROUPS
Mobey Forum’s newest workgroup – Predictive Analytics – will be getting together in Barcelona on 13 Oct after which it will continue to meet on bi-weekly conference calls. The workgroup will discuss how predictive analytics can be used to create new types of mobile financial services and will draw examples from successful services that use predictive analytics such as Netfix, Uber and others.
The group was launched at the Helsinki member meeting in June and is chaired by Kasper Sylvest from Danske Bank and Amir Tabakovic from BigML (a predictive analytics startup).
HCE Workgroup: The group is currently discussing power play and control points in the HCE value chain. They have started work on a whitepaper on this topic. The workgroup is chaired by Kristian Sorensen from Nets and Zaf Kazmi from Erste Bank.
Biometrics Workgroup: The group is discussing the recent developments of biometrics in finance and has recently published a survey of banks and financial institutions’ views on biometrics. Currently, the workgroup is finalizing the first whitepaper on biometrics in finance. The workgroup is chaired by Mario Maawad from CaixaBank and Philippe Le Pape from Morpho.

BIOMETRICS MEETING REPORT FROM JOINT EVENT IN PARIS
Mobey Forum together with Biometrics Institute and Natural Security Alliance held an event in July 2015 in Paris. The key topics from the fruitful event were put together in a report that can be found here. The report includes main points from the presentations as well as the discussions. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the use of biometrics in digital services with a specific focus on critical issues which are not always sufficiently addressed, including questions relating to implementation, evaluation and security. The presentations of the event as a whole can be found at presentations archive. (Apologies – we are renewing our website and there might be problems)
