Bezons, 31st of May 2018. Worldline, [Euronext: WLN] European leader in the payments and transactional services industry, will be presenting its innovative solutions at Money 20/20 Europe from the 4th until the 6th of June 2018. This year, the world’s largest fintech event will take place in the capital of the Netherlands, at convention centre RAI Amsterdam.
Innovation in motion
With fintechs challenging traditional financial organisations, the entire payments industry is obliged to innovate. This shift puts innovation processes in motion, ranging from technological to regulatory ones. Worldline focus on improving these processes during their presence at Money20/20 Europe 2018.
Invisible payments
Zooming in on digitalization of banks, Worldline will elaborate on the new developments enabling financial services to be integrated in the customer journey and inform banks and other financial organisations on what these developments mean for the near future.
The transparent interconnections of the different customer digital contexts, fostered by the entry into force of the PSD2, deliver the right payment service at the right time, in the most secure and smooth way. Worldline’s payment experts will present our latest solutions to easily comply to PSD2 and, furthermore, to transform this regulation into the driver of banks future business successes. To illustrate new revenue stream opportunities created by the monetization of data, Worldline will demonstrate how banks can easily provide e-Identity services.
Customer experience
Not only financial, but also retail organisations are intensively impacted by the innovations within the payments industry. With the development of e-wallets and other technologies affecting the customer experience, it is key for merchants to know more about the new ways of paying, completely transparently included in the customer journey.
Zanda Brivule-Jansone, CEO of Worldline Baltics will share more insights on ‘Developing a merchant wallet for the IoT’ during her session, which takes place on Wednesday the 6th of June at 11:30 AM, on The Flying Trapeze Stage. Next to e-wallets, Instant Payments are also getting traction. Come and see different use cases demonstrated to show concrete benefits of this new way of paying. At the front of innovation, you will also discover m-Wallet payments by a simple camera connection to a connected screen.
The cashless society
In November 2017 history was made when the European Instant Payments initiative went live. As a result, in many European countries it is now possible to make euro credit transfers in less than ten seconds. A lot has been going on since then. Although the pace of transition varies from country to country, there are several signs that we are rapidly heading towards a cashless society; in our position paper we have identified indicators that point to a cashless future in 2025. This paper on ‘How we will Pay’ will be launched during Money 20/20.
Consumers are increasingly using new forms of payment methods and payment initiation services. At this early stage, there is an increased threat that cards will lose their dominance in terms of market share of payment methods. Powered by fast-maturing technologies such as machine learning and Natural Language Processing, voicebots are enabling new ways to connect customers to their merchants and fintech companies are being called to collaborate, develop and design new e-payment solutions to unlock the payment possibilities of tomorrow. Join Worldline to connect, hack and build at the Worldline e-Payments Challenge. This initiative aims at co-innovating with customers and fintechs to bring the future of payments to nowadays: how will we pay in five years? The 48-hours hackathon will take place in September, 26-18 in Paris; registration is possible at the Worldline booth.
